Professor Michael Baker was interviewed on various media platforms about our Briefing Why we need an Aotearoa Centre for Disease Control (CDC) on 16 November.

Professor Baker told RNZ that many comparable countries already had "essential infrastructure" like this.

"Many countries already have established CDC-type organisations that take responsibility for integrated surveillance, co-ordinated laboratory testing, outbreak response, workforce training, and strategic capacity building. Australia is in the process of establishing a federal CDC," he said.

Professor Baker was also featured on Stuff, Waatea News, Newshub, and Mediaworks.
